Back in Time

Released on July 17th, 2015

Back in Time is an award winning instrumental album that is a blend of progressive rock instrumentals with the Indian influence of the flute, violin and tabla. ‘Back in Time’ was awarded the ‘Best Instrumental Album’ at the Akademia Awards 2015 and 'Best Music Video' at the Global Music Awards 2016. The album was in the ballots for the 58th Grammy Awards.

I started out on my new album Back in Time in 2012. Through this album I wanted to showcase my musical experiences from back when I was in India and now here in the United States. Back in Time evolved into an international collaboration of musicians I performed with in India and musicians here in the United States, who I perform with today. The music is a blend of progressive rock instrumentals with the Indian influence of the flute, violin and tabla. I strive to develop an innovative style of playing instrumental rock showcasing my technical abilities on the guitar through the melody, drama and emotional journey of my compositions.
