THE VERGE COLLECTIVE

INDIAN ROCK & POP BAND - SEATTLE

The Verge Collective is a Seattle-based rock band founded by George Varghese with the vision of performing popular Bollywood and Indian pop-rock music through a distinctive melodic rock style.

Drawing inspiration from the vibrant cultural festivals and live music experiences of college life in India, the band seeks to recreate that sense of nostalgia while introducing audiences to a dynamic and contemporary sound. The Verge Collective reimagines beloved Indian pop and rock classics through powerful guitar arrangements, expressive keyboards, driving bass and drums, and soulful guitar solos.

Whether you are looking to relive the energy and memories of cultural festivals back home or experience their unique musical spirit for the first time, The Verge Collective invites you to celebrate the timeless appeal of Indian music through the energy and artistry of live rock.

From the nostalgic melodies of Arijit Singh, KK, A.R. Rahman and Pritam, to the classic rock anthems of Guns N’ Roses, Bon Jovi, and Bryan Adams, The Verge Collective delivers an electrifying set that connects generations and keeps the crowd spellbound all night.

MEET THE BAND

Saurabh Sensharma

_______________

VOCALIST

Saurabh Sensharma has been singing since the age of four and is trained in Hindustani classical music. His influences span Mohammed Rafi, Kishore Kumar, KK, Hariharan, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Shafqat Amanat Ali to Pakistani bands Strings and Fuzon, alongside The Beatles, Queen, Pink Floyd, Bryan Adams, Porcupine Tree and Eminem. Having performed across Indian classical, Sufi, alternative and rock, and with multiple bands and theatre collectives in Delhi, Hyderabad and Seattle, he loves melding music and theatre to tell stories that transcend language and culture. Performing in Seattle since 2025, Saurabh believes music has no single language or style, and that musicians have the responsibility to bring people together through high-quality music and sound that entertains, connects and moves.

Sam Thomas

_______________

VOCALIST

Sam is a Seattle-based singer-songwriter and vocalist who performs a blend of Hindi and English rock. As an independent artist, Sam previously released original music under the handle Skylawns Rock - including the 5-track album A Step Ahead on SoundCloud—along with standalone Hindi rock singles like "Talaash," "Pal," and "Yeh Dil" on YouTube. His favorite artists include Pink Floyd, GnR, U2 and Bon Jovi as well as bands like Avial, Motherjane, Call and Strings.

Over the years, George has built an impressive portfolio as a composer, guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, music producer, event production, audio engineer, lighting designer, photographer and videographer.

KABIR KORADA

_______________

DRUMMER

At just 10 years old, Kabir is already diving into the rock and Indian pop fusion sound of The Verge Collective. He is a huge fan of progressive rock and loves the challenge of learning songs with complex beats and odd time signatures. For Kabir, being in the band is all about practicing his instrument and having a great time on stage.

TEJAS GORTI

_______________

BASS GUITARIST

Tejaswi Gorti anchors the low end for the Verge Collective on bass guitar, but his musical curiosity doesn't stop there — it stretches from the swung, syncopated pulse of deep house music to the intricate architecture of progressive rock. Since 2008 he's channeled that range of influence into electronic production under the alias Kontejas, releasing on independent labels including Neuroscience Recordings and Substream. Drawing on artists like Jimpster, Atjazz, Jaytech, Avial, and Porcupine Tree his music favors tight, deliberate sound design under immersive soundscapes built one careful detail at a time. He holds a degree in Music Production and Technology from Berklee Valencia.

ACHAL MALLAYA

_______________

GUITARIST

Achal Mallaya is a passionate, multi-instrumentalist and collaborator whose primary instruments are guitar and drums, alongside cajon, violin, and Western vocals. Unbound by style, his versatile guitar work spans finger picking, classical, Carnatic, blues, and math rock. This rich sonic palette is heavily shaped by legendary influences like Guns N' Roses, Eagles, Nirvana, Dream Theater, Tool, Porcupine Tree, and Hoobastank. Based in the Seattle music scene, Achal has collaborated with remarkable artists like Berklee-Rahman performer Nalini Krishnan, Sonia Keshwani, and Indian Idol's Geetesh Iyer. Ultimately, his core mission always remains the same: keep learning, keep creating, stay original, and share the joy of music.

TEJAS KRISHNAN

_______________

KEYBOARDIST

Tejus Krishnan is a self-taught pianist, keyboardist and vocalist from Seattle. He started with the piano at a young age by learning to cover his favorite songs, and to this day he continues playing all his songs by ear. He is a big believer in letting improv, instinct, and spontaneity guide the creative process. Tejus has been performing live both solo and with various groups in Seattle for over 3 years, playing everything from rock and indie pop to Bollywood to Sufi and ghazals. Fun fact: he doesn't speak a word of Hindi, but is still a massive fan of Bollywood music! He plays keys for Verge Collective: keep an ear out for some organs, strings, and the occasional piano!
